Originally launched by Dance Ahead in 2019 as part of BBC’s Get Creative project #DoTheDoodle is a unique community focused event.

Breathing life into empty shop units through pop-up interactive events #DoTheDoodle boasts wide-reaching benefits including: 

Increased community access to inclusive creative practice 

Use of empty space – assisting in a reimagining of city centre for a social purpose

Greater exposure and community reach for local artists

Opportunities for collaborative relationships between businesses, artists and communities

Increased footfall for local retailers

#DoTheDoodle allows passers-by and members of the community to create a cumulative community artwork through cross-media approaches to all things doodling.
